Day 1:  Welcome to Auckland City
On arrival you will be met and transferred to your Auckland accommodation.

Day 2:  Auckland - Rotorua
Collect your rental vehicle and head south into the rolling farmland and rich dairy pastures of the Waikato - before arriving in the limestone hills of the Waitomo countryside, where you might like to take a tour underground to view stalactites and staligmites, and float through the glow worm grotto - a galaxy of living lights.
Make your way inland to Rotorua, passing through several small farming towns before the region's geothermal activity signals your arrival into the city of Rotorua.

Day 3:  At Rotorua
Enjoy many sightseeing options available, including Maori culture, volcanic valley tours, whitewater rafting and kayaking to name a few.

Day 4:  Rotorua - Matamata - Auckland
Leave the steaming vents and boiling pools of the geothermal region behind as you make your way through the lush dairy pastures of the Waikato. Take in the emerald green landscapes most famous for their role in the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films. Arrive into the small town of Matamata, for a visit to the fully intact set of Hobbiton.
Your drive then continues north west crossing the dairy country of the Hauraki Plains before arriving at State Highway 1. The Bombay Hills guide you to Auckland City.

Day 5:  Depart Auckland today
Explore more of vibrant Auckland city before dropping your rental car at the airport depot and continuing your onward journey.
