Departure Dates

Any date to suit your plans.  Subject to vehicle availability.

Day 1:  Arrive Auckland
Make your way to your nearby hotel.  The remainder of the day is free to relax and recover from your flight.

Day 2:  Auckland - Bay of Islands (3 hrs 25 mins)
This morning you will join the courtesy shuttle to the Motorhome Depot for a thorough briefing, collection and orientation of the vehicle.  A stop is recommended at the airport complex supermarket where you can stock up with supplies before heading north to the picturesque coastal Bay of Islands.

Day 3:  Bay of Islands
Today board a vessel for your "Hole in the Rock" cruise.  Enjoy the large outdoor viewing decks as you cruise past the islands of the Bay.  Keep a look out for common and bottlenose dolphins, whales and other marine life from the comfort of the Dolphin Seeker catamaran before arriving at the majestic Hole in the Rock where the skipper navigates through the narrow space.  Take in the grand Cathedral Cave before heading back into the sheltered waters of the Bay.

Day 4:  Bay of Islands - Orewa (2 hrs 45 mins)
Return south to Orewa located just north of Auckland and make the most of the spectacular setting of your overnight accommodation that is right on the Orewa beachfront.

Day 5:  Orewa - Rotorua (4 hrs)
Take a leisurely drive to the popular thermal region of Rotorua today.

Day 6:  At Rotorua
Experience 5 of Rotorua's top attractions.

Day 7:  Rotorua - Taupo (1 hr)
Spend the morning enjoying Rotorua, then travel to Taupo and stay in a holiday park Self Contained Cabin to give your legs a stretch outside of the motorhome.  End the day with a soak in the hot pools.

Day 8:  Taupo - Auckland (3 hrs 15 mins)
Drive back to Auckland today and return your motorhome then catch the courtesy shuttle to the airport.  On arrival at the airport make your way to your nearby hotel.

Day 9:  Depart Auckland
Make your way to the nearby airport for your departure flight.
