Travelling up the pristine, glacially fed waters of the river at up to 80 kph, you will have ample chance for photo opportunities of the astounding landscapes famously put to film in the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogies and glaciers beneath Mount Aspiring as the jet boat driver spins through 360 degrees.

Next you'll cruise through an authentic New Zealand High Country station farm by rugged 4 wheel drive.  Witness red deer, cattle and sheep in the natural environments, travelling through alpine meadows and ancient forests, past significant sites of European settlers' heritage, learning what life was life for the first locals in Wanaka.  Light refreshments are provided during this part of the expedition.
