A fantastic introduction to an enthralling world of Ice. A short Heli Hop from the township takes you into the remarkable Pinnacles area of the glacier. You will be taken through a maze of Ice and a commentary of how the dramatic enviromental changes over the years have taken place. Finish off your excursion with a dip in the Hot Pools.

Glacier Valley Walk

This Glacier walk will take you up alongside the mighty Waiho River bed following the glaciers path of retreat in this remarkable landscape. Near the terminal face, you will cross over the public barriers accessing exclusive trails. You will be rewarded with the magnificent views of the rapidly changing terminal face.

Glacier Hot Pools

Nestled in the lush rainforest beneath 30 metre tall trees, this is a haven of natural tranquility and the perfect way to relax at the end of your day. These pools are pure local glacier water with temperatures at 36 - 40 degrees, perfect for rejuvenating the mind and body.
