This is a short island tour by boat to one of the most restricted sanctuaries. Moutohora (also know as Whale Island) has a number of wildlife bird species such as the Saddleback, Kakariki (NZ Parakeet) and the Little Brown Kiwi.
The island was the home of the living Dinosaur, the Tuatara. There is a great history of the Maori and European history. Enjoy the close proximity to a hot water beach where you can dig your own hole in the sand and enjoy your very own spa.
Departs from the Whakatane Wharf 10.00am - Returns 1.30pm
Be sure to be there 30 minutes before departure.
