Akaroa Harbour is the only place you can swim with the rare Hector's Dolphin.

The historic French Village of Akaroa is 90 minutes drive from Christchurch. You will board the Akaroa Cruise where you will sight the White Flipped Penguins, Fur Seals and many sea birds. The other highlights are a visit to Cathedral Cove and the Maori Settlements.
